My story, with the edits left in.

I was born and brought up in Muscat, Oman. At school, physics was my favourite thing in the world. ~~I thought my future was in a lab.~~It was in a classroom.

Everyone had an opinion. The aunties were very sure that English had "no scope". I half believed them, and went to India for my graduation and master's.

Then I stood in front of a class for the first time and something settled. I trained with Cambridge, did my CELTA and finished in the top 3%. Today I teach English in Dubai and I co-founded Redinc Academy. Fiha khair, every bit of it.

Here's what a hundred mentees have taught me: most people don't need a new personality to get the job. They need someone to sit with their draft and a red pen, kindly, and show them what to keep. That's the part I love.
